Do you want to look like Ira?

Where the Wild Things Are X Opening Ceremony

I saw parts of this collection a couple weeks ago but i just recently saw the entire collection. Its absolutely incredible. The collection is inspired by the film/book Where the Wild Things Are and was a collaboration with Spike Jonze. Each outfit from the collection is inspired by a character from Where the Wild Things Are.

I personally think the collection is genius. It is a breath of fresh air. I love how all of the fur is faux. Faux fur, when done well, can give the exact same effect as real fur. Also the structure of the garments are just gorgeous. I love abnormal shapes that are harder to find at your average store.

The skirt below is my favorite piece. The structure and the color of the faux fur is just perfection.

How do you guys feel about this collection? Do you think it is over done or do you think it is a breath of fresh air? Also, how do you feel about Opening Ceremony prices?
I think that the prices are a little bit to much when it comes to collections that were made for Opening Ceremony, such as Chloe Sevigny and Jeremy Scott.

P.S. Ill be posting a personal guide to New York City next week so remember to follow so you will know when the guide is up.

LaChapelled.

David Lachapelle

I was contemplating my next post and I suddenly thought of my favorite photographer, David LaChapelle. When it comes to his work, its truly raw. Raw in a precisely thought out way. I really appreciate the fact that he turns vulgar poses into something that is far from vulgar.
The 2 photos below are probably my 2 favorite David LaChapelle.

He has 4 books, my favorite being the Hotel Lachapelle coffee table book from 1999. Unfortunately the book is far out of my price range and ive only been able to look at it while ive been at my local Barnes & Noble. Hopefully....one day....ill be able to own the greatest coffee table book of all time.

Bowed Barbie.

So when i found these photos i gasped. Who is the genius that made these Barbie versions of Lady Gaga? http://www.flickr.com/photos/veik11. If you go to his flickr site you can see various doll versions of Gaga.

The above picture of the lilac hair is my favorite.

What do you think of S&M Barbie? Too much or do you like seeing Barbie in a new light? I personally think that its about time Barbie thought outside of the box.

Also here is Gaga's new song "Bad Romance". I am officially in love with this song. Its so catchy and raw. I cant wait for the re-release of The Fame. The Fame Monster is going to be released on November 23rd.

Tilt and Twirl.

Stella McCartney: Spring 2010 Collection.

There are no words...I was speechless when i saw this collection. Ive been quite a big fan of Stella Mccartney's for the past 2 years and she hasn't let me down what so ever. Every collection is perfection. She is incredible when it comes to making her collection look like her brand yet still reinvent her silhouettes.

Royal blues, burnt oranges, and perfect nudes really brought the collection to life. Also...great model choices Stella. Finally a show this season filled with top models.

What is your favorite color for the spring and summer months? Do you like to transfer any of these colors or patterns for the chilly fall and winter months? I love the idea of winter florals.

Say Hello to Kitty.

When i saw this photoshoot on www.gagadaily.com i was in amazed. The photoshoot was shot by the duo Markus Klinko & Indrani. The photos are inspiring. The clothing, amazing makeup, and amazing hair are completely unique and original. Hello Kitty + Lady Gaga = Perfection.

Would you ever wear a dress, top, or skirt made out of stuffed animals? If so what type of stuffed animal ( hello kitty, sesame street, teddy bears, holiday inspired, etc...)?
